For you, with Love…

Good morning Dreamer.

Your heart is simple but the many emotions that work inside you are complex.  One moment, you are full of anticipation, your optimism quite infectious. The next, you are burdened with bleakness coming from unfulfilled dreams.  At such times, it is not strange to find that you’ve been thoroughly misunderstood by others.  Sometimes, the people you thought you could depend on ultimately fail you, leaving you in futility.  You are left with strangers for companions, who like you are nursing their own pain, waiting for someone to pull them out of the trenches of Life’s dejection. Nothing ever seems the same after a heart is crushed with unrealized expectations. Joy seems to be a strange emotion – an unfamiliar sentiment that you once thought you knew… only to find that it had always been a mirage of some sort. Suddenly, life with its many twists and turns mocks you with a vengeance, especially as you realize that your dreams were whimsical: The imagination of a fool who wasted away time conjuring up ideas that were as unrealistic as one catching one molecule of wind.

Yet, deep down, in spite of the fathom mirth that surrounds you is the tenacious whisper of hope. Its strong ties pulls you to keep believing that although today is filled with failures, tomorrow promises to be a better day. It tells you that life is simply not over till it’s over and that unspoken ideas, while it may seem foolish now, does not translate to lack of actualization in the future. Everything depends on its timing, dear Dreamer. Don’t you know that the key to life’s success is dependent on your intrinsic ability to keep dreaming, no matter what?  If you can dream it, surely you can have it. You will have to persist in those so-called fanciful thoughts of yours till your journey on Planet Earth is over. Don’t disregard this truth, convenient as it may seem sometimes, for doing so will lead you to a dark place you don’t really want to go.

So keep dreaming.  At the conclusion of this journey, you will discover that you were not foolish to do so. Soon, you’ll realize that your dreams have given way to something tangible, enough for others to feel it, smell it, taste it and see it.

From my heart to yours, have a blessed week.

I am very encouraged after reading this piece. You are right in saying that good things happen to those who dream. All the big names out there are big because they dared to dream. God bless you for sharing this.

    • Jona, I am very encouraged after reading your comments too. You are right: Good things happen to those who dream. If you want the good things, never stop dreaming because dreaming will lead you to the path to how you can actualize the dream.

Never heard of African romance novels till now. The concept sounds very interesting. I hope to get a copy of your book and I think I will enjoy it.

    • Pure African romance actually has been around for a while…it’s just not as popular as the romance books coming from Europe and the like. I can’t wait for you to read my book and tell me what you think.

I welcome your thoughts.
